
The Lifeguarding course provides participants the knowledge and skills to prevent recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies in both shallow water (less than 7 feet) and deeper water (7 feet or more) and to provide professional-level care for breathing and cardiac emergencies injuries and sudden illnesses until EMS personnel take over. This class is taught in a blended learning format and the assigned online portion(s) (accessed via mobile desktop or tablet) must be completed prior to each instructor-led session. Participants who successfully complete this course receive an American Red Cross certificate for Lifeguarding (including deep water) with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid valid for 2 years. Prerequisites: 1. Minimum age: 15 years; 2. Complete a swim- tread-swim sequence: Jump into the water submerge resurface swim 150 yards (using the front crawl breaststroke or a combination of both) maintain position at the surface of the water for 2 minutes by treading water using only the legs then swim 50 yards using the front crawl breaststroke or a combination of both. 3. Complete a timed event within 1 minute 40 seconds by starting in the water swimming 20 yards surface dive (feet-first or head-first) to a depth of 7 to 12 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object return to the surface and swim 20 yards on the back to return to the starting point holding the object at the surface with both hand exit the water without using a ladder or steps.

An abbreviated Lifeguarding course that reviews course content in addition to practice and testing of skills and emergency team response. To participate in the recertification course participants must possess a Red Cross certificate for Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid (current certification or certification expired by no more than 30 days). Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid valid for 2 years.

Teaches lifeguards the skills and knowledge needed to prevent and respond to emergencies in nonsurf open-water areas found at public parks resorts summer camps and campgrounds. Participants must have a current American Red Cross certificate for Lifeguarding (Including Deep Water) with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid to participate in this module. Participants must complete a 300 yard swim - Tread water without the us eof hands for 2 minutes - and swim an additional 200 yards directly after the 2 minute tread. Participants must also retreive 4 diving rings while surface diving in at least 5-feet of water. Participants must also swim 20-yards, dive, retrieve a 10-pound brick, return to the surface and return 20 yards, and exit the water without the use of ladder or steps. After successful completion of this module participants will receive an American Red Cross certificate for Waterfront Skills which is valid for 2 years and is only valid with a current American Red Cross Lifeguarding (Including Deep Water) with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid.

This course equips participants with the knowledge and skills to quickly assess recognize and care for cardiac arrest provide high-quality CPR and use an AED to optimize patient outcomes. Designed for both in-hospital and out-of-hospital healthcare clinicians this training is consistent with the 2025 evidence-based science guidelines and covers additional life-threatening emergencies including respiratory arrest drowning opioid overdose myocardial infarction life-threatening bleeding and obstructed airway in adults children and infants. Participants complete an online course followed by an in-person session led by an Instructor or self-directed solution that includes knowledge-based learning and hands-on skill practice. Participants are required to successfully complete the online course and final exam and demonstrate skill competency during skills practice and testing scenarios to earn an American Red Cross Basic Life Support certificate valid for two years.
